Miami Ad School Students Create Fictional Campaign, The Underground Project, To Solve NYPL’s Empty Libraries.
The Underground Library, created by Max Pilwat, Keri Tan and Ferdi Rodriguez, came up with a creative way to solve NYPL’s empty libraries. With ad placements in the subway car and pushing NFC (near field communications) technology to a creative level, subway riders can get a 10 page sample book to read on their smartphone. When they finish reading the sample, the app will remind the reader they can finish reading the book at the library near their location.
Even though this is a student project, it’s great that they’re pushing the importance of reading whether the person is reading a physical book or an e-book on a smartphone/e-reader.
