“It’s not about the last game, it’s about tonight.” – Henrik Lundqvist
Wise words from a most handsome man. I, for one, will maybe have a taco before I go about my duties and the sun sets.
Being a staunch Islanders fan — and as much as I have been conditioned to hate the Rangers — I just can’t disrupt my utter respect for this team.
The St. Louis trade was a bit controversial at first, but it obviously worked out in the long-run. Don’t get me wrong here, I am not a fan of trading daggers for a sword, but the Rangers needed something. Callahan is one of the most promising, respectable players in the game right now — I don’t think I’m alone with this thought. But it needed to be done.
As with any sport, it’s not one person who wins, but Martin St. Louis brought life to this club — a spark even, and one I have never seen in my life within this team.
They may win, or they may lose, it doesn’t even matter. They’ve definitely gained the respect of this hockey fan, and others around the world.
