I don’t know much of this guy’s material yet, as I was just introduced to his music last night after listening to an older episode of WTF with Marc Maron. He seemed like an interesting fella, so I searched-out a few tunes and I cannot even express how much I’m diggin’ his stuff.
“The Way We Move” — off of his 2012 album of the same name — in particular is as if a more upbeat Bob Dylan met an acoustic incarnation of Flogging Molly and decided to pen a drinking song together. Which, as one would most likely assume, is awesome.
The lovely, meandering piano parts hit me hard with the passing of Ian McLagan still fresh in my mind. RIP, friend.
