Before Jimmy Eat World went full-blown emo (or what the definition of emo is now) they pumped out some amazing tunes like this one here.
The album that this song is off of, Static Prevails, is one of my favorite records from the ’90s and still holds up rather nicely even today, whereas listening back to some of their contemporaries of the time leaves something to be desired. Having not listened to it in quite a few years, I was a bit skeptical that it would, but I was pleasantly surprised.
I remember seeing these guys at the late, legendary Coney Island High back in the day, and losing the ability to hear out of my right ear for like three hours afterwards — great show.
