No doubt major cities in the U.S. will encounter traffic jams at the most inconvenient time. And everyday it just seems like more time is spent sitting and waiting for traffic to flow.
In 1982, Americans spent 16 hours a week in traffic and in 2011, that jumped to 38 hours. It’s projected that by 2020, that number will increase to 41 hours.
In the infographic, it highlights 16 congested cities in 2011 and eight cities have traffic delays 40 to 50 hours, five cities, 50 to 60 hours and three cities 60 to 70 hours.
