With more and more technologies out there, how safe are you online? The infographic created by OnlineMarketingDegree.net highlights some of the products we use and without us knowing, sold your information. Perhaps you may have noticed that after you went to a site, plugged in your name and email, suddenly you’re receiving emails for offers you’re not interested in–tons of them. Or perhaps, suspicious activity in your email and you received an alert that someone tried to access your account in a far country you’re nowhere near.
As consumers of these products, there are ways to protect yourself. From not opening emails that seem like they’re from a friend, but written in a way that’s not something they would normally write (especially with some cryptic link), to only downloading apps to your mobile device from official sites like iTunes, Google Play or Amazon AppStore. Additionally, ensuring you have a very safe and secure password to your accounts.
