From cloning sheep to wanting to resurrect the Woolly Mammoth and Neanderthals, there have been mixed reactions about cloning over the years. You may read comments that we shouldn’t mess with nature or life, but we’ve been doing this for many, many years.
The delicious fruit we eat, the banana, is a clone of the variety called the Cavendish. The drawback of cloning for over 7,000 years is that the bananas are too inbred and fighting off disease is a challenge, meaning it could destroy an entire banana crop.
