What does joy smell like? And can balloons bring joy?
In an interesting advertising campaign, Pereira & O’Dell and The Cheesecake Factory created an engaging way allowing people to sample a slice of their cheesecake through smell. On December 1 in Philadelphia, teams were sent to hit the streets carrying giant bouquets of red, brown, and white balloons with the words, “Pop it” on each balloon.
As each balloon is popped a scent would be released revealing Peppermint Bark Cheesecake (red), Chocolate Tuxedo Cream Cheesecake (brown) or Original Cheesecake (cream).
Inside each popped balloon was a message from The Cheesecake Factory, “Try a slice on us” which was redeemed for a complimentary slice of cheesecake.
A great and creative way of using balloons to spread joy this holiday season.
