A lot of us multitask these days. It’s a great way to get things done…or is it? While there are pros and cons to multitasking, this infographic I came across shows interesting numbers against it.

Highlights of this infographic:

  1. Multitasking makes us less effective, increases mistakes and costs the global economy $450 billion a year.
  2. There are tons of distractions and the average person looks at their mobile phone 150 times per year.
  3. The average time spent on a task before an interruption is one minute and fifteen seconds
