Are you a fan of hard cider? The crisp, refreshing taste similar to the likes of apple juice, but with that lovely kick of a good beer?
Whether you’re the type of person that gets the weekend six-pack, or an everyday lover of the drink, you have probably noticed that the shelves at your local grocery store are starting to carry more and more hard cider options as of late.
Angry Orchard, Magners, Woodchuck and even the surprisingly tasty Shock Top – Honeycrisp Apple Wheat, are all now becoming staples within the shopping carts of soccer moms and fantasy footballers.
This “apple juice for adults” was once extremely popular many years ago, and according to Time, it’s making a huge comeback:
The popularity of cider is exploding, with 2012’s U.S. cider sales 85 percent higher than the year before. Some say that hard cider is the new craft beer, and major beer brands seem to agree: companies such as Anheuser-Busch InBev and MillerCoors have recently stepped foot into the growing market.
