Socks On An Octopus was founded in 2012 by Daphne Cheung and James Marino as a central hub to share content with friends and family, but within a few months, more and more traffic was coming from all over the world. After noticing a lot of people apparently liked what we had to share and say, we decided to take it a bit more seriously.
It took us a little while to really find our voice and organize the type of content we wanted to deliver, but it seems we have a pretty good footing now. With that being said, we do not stick to a strict central theme as many other sites do. Daphne and myself are two different people with different interests, thoughts and opinions. We enjoy the fact that we have the freedom to feature a wide variety of things with our readers, and yet they all still seem to fit in with our flow.
Here at SOAO, you will find a slew of different topics. We share anything and everything from art to entertainment, education to technology, funny animals to informative infographics — if we like it, we post it, and we hope you like it too.
Update: James has contributed much to the site, but as of June 2015, he decided to pursue other projects. To view his posts, you can view them here. Socks On An Octopus will remain running as a one-person operation by Daphne Cheung.
