The past few days, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 has been an intriguing mystery with its sudden disappearance. Historically, there have been other strange events involving these mechanical birds in flight.
Some of you may remember in 1996, TWA Flight 800 that exploded minutes after take off. The cause was a short circuit. And in 1977, Malaysia Airlines Flight 653 crashed after being hijacked in mid-air, which the cause still remains a mystery.
Even stranger was in 1937, when Amelia Earheart attempted to circumnavigate the globe and disappeared. And nothing could be more mysterious than 1947’s BSAA Star Dust who sent a final message in morse code, “STENDEC” and its meaning is still unknown.
